Negative Capability

Description

In The Red is proud to announce the double vinyl release of The Urinals’ *Negative Capability*, originally released on CD on the Amphetamine Reptile label in 1996. Before changing their name to 100 Flowers and becoming one of Los Angeles' most respected underground bands, the trio released several tracks between 1977 and 1980, all on their own Happy Squid label. This retrospective features 31 tracks, including a minimalist punk rock cover of The Soft Machines' "Why Are You Sleeping" and the instrumental "Surfing with the Shah," both of which serve as reminders of how musically intelligent and humorous this band was.
