Since the release of their EP, The Wayside, in 2015, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have gradually established themselves in France, regularly receiving praise from specialized media (Rock Hard, Rolling Stone, Oui FM...). After a previous album that placed them at the top of the podium for the "17 best" blues guitarists of 2017, as voted by readers of the Music Radar website and Total Guitar magazine, two essential references in the world of six-strings, Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown are making a strong comeback with their upcoming album Truth and Lies. For this new album, Tyler Bryant doesn't change his approach. After demoing nearly 55 songs, the band went to New York to record these 13 new songs in near-live conditions, with just a few overdubs. Under the direction of producer Joel Hamilton (The Black Keys, Highly Suspect, Tom Waits), the quartet focused on finding a raw and visceral sound, avoiding being too "cautious" at all costs, without sacrificing the nuances of their music. Without really sounding vintage, Truth and Lies still respects tradition.
