This tenth Tue-Loup album was born on the banks of the Tagus, in Lisbon, with the writing of the song “Tejo”. The languor, sensuality, and veiled light of this corner of Europe permeated the entire album, "in the shadow of a more or less fantasized character," says the leader of the Sarthe-based group, Xavier Plumas. A blue sun, an ocher land, brown skin... "It is also an album steeped in painting. That of Berthommier and Badaire, whose universes also have something to do with Portuguese saudade." Jean-Gilles Badaire also designed the album's visuals. Tue-Loup burns more than ever with that dark beauty and deliciously toxic poetry that makes one attached to this group year after year, trend after trend. Especially now that it manages to open brilliant and effective doors to its subject (Empreinte, Le Tigre Voyageur), without compromising on the richness of its lyrics, nor the time it takes to set an atmosphere (Hirondelle), or the ever-present desire to sometimes break out of the strict format of "French song" (Ramo Contra O Medo). Music and lyrics beyond fashion, with an impalpable certainty. A definite taste for reverie, an expression of reality behind reality.
