The fourth studio album by Robert Alfons, aka TR/ST (pronounced Trust), titled Performance, delves even deeper into the wicked synth-pop psychodrama that the project has initiated and perfected over more than a decade of evolution. Recorded in Los Angeles, the songs bubble with dread and lust, illuminated by the light pollution of a thousand dead-end streets in the city. Robert Alfons co-produced the album with the versatile composer and producer Nightfeelings, achieving a thick, smoky balance of unsettling synths, low frequencies, and a wounded, crooning voice.
