MAETRIX is an ambitious work by Norwegian pianist Espen Berg, created in 2017 for the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. Combining complex rhythms and poignant melodies, the piece explores the boundary between intellectual intensity and pure emotion. Premiered at the Molde Jazz Festival to a standing ovation, MAETRIX showcases the unique flexibility of the orchestra and Berg's innovative vision.
