Following the success of his lavish 2023 solo guitar album, *Archtop Avenue*, a tribute to the Great American Songbook, Ratko Zjaca returns with a world music project of unique character. The Croatian-born guitarist, a long-time resident of Rotterdam, is this time surrounded by musicians from Romania, England, and India for his 18th album as a leader or co-leader. The result: a work of striking beauty, full of daring and improvisation. Alongside him are Romanian cimbalom virtuoso Marius Preda – considered the world's foremost jazz soloist on this trapezoidal string instrument, a cousin of the dulcimer – British double bassist Nick McGuire, and visionary percussionist Trilok Gurtu. Together, they weave an exceptional musical synergy and create an extraordinary sound world.
