The year 2025 marked 25 years of Triggerfinger’s career. To celebrate this anniversary, the Belgian rock band made its big return to the stage for a 25-date European tour, all sold out, and also released “Stars”, the first taste of “Tarmac”, their new album. This 6th album saw Ruben Block and Mario Goossens collaborate with American producer Mitchell Froom (Suzanne Vega, Crowded House, Rufus Wainwright). He pushed them to step out of their comfort zone and find new ways of composing, with no preconceived idea of what the result might be. The two musicians rose to the challenge with flying colors: “Tarmac” is astonishingly free and shows a Triggerfinger with a renewed musical DNA without having lost anything that makes up its identity. This first album in 9 years, and also the first without their charismatic bassist Monsieur Paul, who passed away last year, marks a new era for Triggerfinger, and proves that they are among the rare European rock bands to have survived the trends and fashions of the last 25 years.
