It was during the lockdown that TRIBES realized they didn't just want to look back; there could be a future as well as a celebration of the past. Dan White moved from London to a cottage at the corner of Lloyd in Dorset, and the two got to work on what would become TRIBES' third album, Rabbit Head. On Rabbit Head, TRIBES sounds more confident than ever, a band completely in tune with itself. It opens with the crunchy rocker Hard Pill, placed at the top because it's the song that set everything in motion. "It was the first song I wrote since the band split," White recounts. "It's like the end and the beginning of the band at the same time," says Lloyd. "It's about rebuilding relationships." It's a record that captures both how TRIBES got here and where they are going next. They may have taken the long road, but Rabbit Head feels like the album TRIBES was always meant to make. It's a revitalized band. Johnny Lloyd, Dan White, Jim Cratchley, and Miguel Demelo have learned that you can give yourself a second chance. TRIBES are back in business.
