Traidora was born from the solo project of Eva Leblanc, a transgender immigrant woman of Venezuelan origin living in the UK. A multidisciplinary artist, she finds time to play experimental music, collaborate with Eve Libertine of CRASS, and be active in the local punk scene. In 2023, she released a seven-track demo, since pressed as a 7", of raw electronic-drummed hardcore punk, sung in Spanish. In it, she highlighted her personal experience as a transfeminist Latina living in an oppressive society. Traidora has played tirelessly in the UK and abroad, with different lineups, but always offering uncompromising political hardcore punk. Against all odds, to both receptive and less receptive audiences. In 2025, with a stable lineup of four queer individuals, Traidora entered Bear Bite Horse Studios to record her debut album. The result, strongly influenced by the hardest side of Latin American punk, is thirteen tracks of raw, sharp, and unrestrained hardcore punk. A sound halfway between DROP DEAD, MASACRE 68, and LOS CRUDOS. Eva sings in Spanish about themes such as morality, gender, borders, Palestine, or the Mapuches, fighting with a strong transfeminist immigration message.
