Vinyl reissue: The legendary Swedish band, Träd Gräs Och Stenar (translated as "Trees Grass and Stones"), emerged in the 1970s under the combined influence of anarchist political movements, Terry Riley, experimental rock, and ethnic music. Their music develops around long experimental improvisations that reach their full potential live. As the years go by, their psychedelic avant-rock tinged with folk has lost none of its density, and the quintet, with an average age of sixty, continues to radiate their flamboyant energy on stage. Now recognized as the godfathers of krautrock, punk, and the current indie-folk wave, they recently performed alongside NoNeck Blues Band, Thurston Moore, Jim O'Rourke, Stephen Malkmus (who calls them his favorite band), and toured Japan with Acid Mothers Temple.
