In the Merry Month of May is the last studio recording by the late and renowned American composer, artist, filmmaker, and writer Tony Conrad, and the first duo recording with Irish composer Jennifer Walshe, one of Conrad's most important collaborators during the last decade of his life. It is a wild and improvised collection of songs, with Walshe's clarion voice at the heart of the endeavor. The sonic force of the opening track "In the Merry Month of May" recalls the ecstatic charge of Conrad's Slapping Pythagoras.
