PERMANENT DREAM/180 GR GATEFOLD SLEEVE

Description

Tomorrow was a British psychedelic rock band from London, England. Despite critical acclaim and support from DJ John Peel, who featured them on his radio show Perfumed Garden, the band did not achieve great commercial success. They were among the first psychedelic bands in England, alongside The Syn, Pink Floyd, and Soft Machine. The band was the first to appear on John Peel's BBC Radio 1 show on September 21, 1967. The guitarist for this band was Steve Howe, who would later gain fame with Yes. The lack of commercial success had little to do with the quality of the music, but rather with timing, as the album was recorded in early 1967 but not released until February 1968, when the psychedelic movement was well past its peak. John "Twink" Adler on drums later joined The Pretty Things for the album "SF Sorrow". And John Wood on bass regularly played alongside Jeff Beck. 55 years after the release of "Tomorrow," their sole album in 1968, former band member Steve Howe, and future progressive guitar hero, re-worked the original mono mixes and reordered the unique album, thanks to advancements in audio technology and with the help of engineer Curtis Schwartz. This re-release, now called "Permanent Dream," includes lesser-known studio tracks, a new track order, and new artwork (by long-time Yes collaborators, The Gottlieb Brothers).
