The Happening

Description

The Happening was born by accident. Three musicians - Jeff Mills, Prabhu Edouard and Jean-Philippe Dary - were simply asked to “play something” to provide additional footage for the video crew who had come to film the group while they were working in the studio in northern Paris on their upcoming album Forbidden Planet. There were no guidelines during this recording, only the idea of using music as a vehicle for consciousness. This nine-minute piece explores a moment suspended in time, evoking past creation and a distant future. Over the course of these intense nine minutes, each of the musicians pushed their limits, giving birth to a unique work. The Happening is about the life and death of every living being... about infinity.
