'AND TOC!' It is, according to Tom George, "the text, the crowd, - the fresco, the whole, - in a kind of (scream) symphonic poem." The pianist and composer associates with his jazz band some young classical musicians skilled in improvisation, and unfolds a learned writing with multiple influences, in a sort of surrealist Symphonie fantastique, on a text by Bernard Haillant spoken by Johan Boutin. "Conversations in the dark," on the contrary, is "the intimacy of a trio without embellishment" alongside drummer Benoît Joblot and double bassist Juan Ignacio Villarroel Encina, scrutinizing the most minute punctuations of a "naive and sincere writing, - with only the listening as the master."
