Description
Formed in 2007, Tôkyô Karankoron is currently one of the most prominent independent bands in the Japanese capital. Its five members, with their distinctive personalities, create unique music that draws on influences ranging from progressive music to new wave, math-rock, and jazz, transforming their typically Japanese pop into a sonic maelstrom that is as exhilarating as it is exciting. While the band's concerts often sell out in Japan (between 2,000 and 8,000 people flock to see them at each performance), they remain relatively unknown in France.
