Description

On Hagen, singer and cellist Mabe Fratti once again reveals her exceptional talent for addressing us with disarming sincerity. One never senses in her a desire to overdo it or to seduce at all costs—the frankness of her lyrics would not allow it. At the same time, Fratti possesses this strange ability to infuse the melodies of Héctor Tosta, as well as the lyrics they co-wrote, with an almost supernatural depth. Tosta himself admitted that it was "pretty crazy to hear Mabe take these interpretations elsewhere," and one can easily guess the pleasure she takes in lending her voice, both literally and figuratively, to these multiple narratives.
