The tenth studio album The Waiting Room follows the acclaimed The Something Rain (2012). It proves to be the most ambitious, varied, and elaborate long format of the cult English band. TINDERSTICKS has always played on nuances for great differences. An incredible finesse and richness that shows the band, after 20 years of career, still manages to surprise us. We even find brass and almost afro beat rhythms, funky bass lines that blend with the crooner voice of Stuart A Staples. A new Tindersticks but still in continuity. On the album, two duets: Jennhy Beth (SAVAGES) and the dear and departed friend Lhasa De Sela. The Waiting Room is also an ambitious collaborative film project made in collaboration with the Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival and the Blogotheque (available on DVD in the limited CD and LP editions). Claire Denis, Pierre Vinour, the Brazilian Gabriel Sanna, etc... participate in the making of this medium-length film of breathtaking beauty. The Waiting Room is a full and major work in the discography of TINDERSTICKS.
