Tina Louise (born 1934) was much better known as an actress than as a singer. She was a leading lady to stars such as Robert Taylor and Richard Widmark, and famously co-starred with movie star Ginger Grant in the TV series Gilligan's Island. On her sole album as a singer, It’s Time for Tina, Louise is accompanied by a band including trombonist Tyree Glenn, alto saxophonist Hilton Jefferson and, most notably, tenor saxophone legend Coleman Hawkins.
