AT

Description

The famous songwriter Tim Finn – Split Enz and Crowded House – is releasing the long-awaited new studio album AT in LP, CD, and digital formats. The album was written and recorded with Andy White, with whom Tim first collaborated as two-thirds of ALT, on the 1995 album Altitude, a project that also included Liam Ó Maonlaí from The Hothouse Flowers (the "L" in the ALT acronym). It was an interview with Liam in an Irish magazine in 2019 that prompted them to rekindle a partnership that still had much creativity to offer. With Liam choosing to sit this one out, the duo decided to continue the unfinished work as a duo. Mixed by John Leckie, the legendary producer behind the debut album of the Stone Roses and the classic new wave albums of Magazine, XTC, and Simple Minds, AT builds on the strengths of its predecessor by adopting an even more dramatic sound sweep. There are layers of lush multi-tracks with strings arranged by Berlin-based composer Jonathan Dreyfus. The resulting album is a remarkable pooling of resources, dominated by melodic and uplifting songs – it will not disappoint you!
