Star of German jazz and new signing of Sony Masterworks, Till Brönner offers an album of standards full of charm and sensuality. Till Brönner is a dominant figure in German jazz. In addition to his numerous appearances on television and radio, he is recognized for his excellent trumpet playing, his soft and warm voice, as well as for his role as a producer and arranger. Nominated twice for the Grammy Awards, he has won the Echo Jazz five times, one of the biggest music awards in Germany. 'The Good Life', his first album for Sony Music, is marked by charm and relaxation and draws its inspiration mainly from the great standards of American jazz made famous by the interpretations of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, and many other legendary musicians. Till Brönner himself wrote two compositions for the album and sings on 8 tracks. The album produced by Ruud Jacobs was recorded between Los Angeles and Amsterdam with a dream rhythm section composed of John Clayton on double bass (who also arranged the music), Anthony Wilson on guitar, Larry Goldings on piano, and Jeff Hamilton on drums.
