With "No Fantasy Required", TIGA puts the finishing touches on a trilogy of albums. Tiga's music has always been the result of a very fertile creative tension. On the one hand, he is the pope of underground techno; on the other hand, he has a great pop sensibility that allows him to write great songs. This duality makes him a figurehead in electronic music. In his very rich career, he has remixed LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, Coldcut, The XX, and Moby, among others. Through his label "Turbo", he has launched the careers of many artists including Duke Dumont, Chromeo, Gesaffelstein, and Boys Noize. He has also collaborated with the biggest names: James Murphy, Pusha T...; on "No Fantasy Required", we note collaborations with Hudson Mohawke, Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, producer Matthew Dear and Jori Hulkkonen (with whom he also performs live). With No Fantasy Required, Tiga delivers an album that he describes as "more honest, open and playful". It's a collection of inspired songs that take shape within dance music.
