THROWING SHAPES/LIMITED

Description

WRWTFWW Records is pleased to announce in 2025 the self-titled debut album by Throwing Shapes, a new collaborative project bringing together harpist Méabh McKenna, percussionist Ross Chaney, and the label’s iconic composer/producer Gareth Quinn Redmond. A hypnotic, richly textured sonic exploration, carried by the striking timbre of the Irish metal-string harp, Throwing Shapes weaves intricate instrumental tapestries with ambitious synths and electronic arrangements. The result is an immersive soundscape, both grounded and experiential, where a unique vocabulary emerges: cinematic avant-garde electronic music driven by the harp, evoking lush sonic worlds that speak to both heritage and futurism.
