Since forming Thrice with guitarist Teppei Teranishi, bassist Eddie Breckenridge, and drummer Riley Breckenridge in 1998, Kensrue has never shied away from an intellectual challenge. The mood is set from the opening synth track "Color of the Sky," which sounds perfectly suited to accompany the end credits of the final season of Stranger Things. Imagine Flying Lotus giving way to Elbow and transporting the listener to a new dimension. Self-recorded, "Horizons/East" conveys a palpable sense of danger, determination, and possibility.
