Reissue of the album “Clone” remixed and remastered, on vinyl and CD formats with bonus tracks. Formed in the leafy Surrey district in the late 80s, Threshold truly came into its own over the following decade and quickly established itself as the leading standard-bearer for progressive metal in the UK. Starting with the debut album “Wounded Land” in 1993, the creative core of guitarist Karl Groom and keyboard maestro Richard West built a unique variety of heavy progressive music, combining incisive melodies, thought-provoking lyrics and complex yet thunderous arrangements. Threshold progressed inexorably over three decades of creative fervor, arguably reaching a new peak of power with the conceptual and musical feast of “Legends Of The Shires” in 2017. With the return of singer Glynn Morgan, the UK lineup of Groom, West, drummer Johanne James and bassist Steve Anderson somehow pushed themselves to new heights and was widely acclaimed by critics. The band’s latest (and 12th) studio album, “Dividing Lines”, was darker, heavier and even more adventurous than its predecessor, offering some of the most inventive and melodically powerful tracks they have ever recorded. The band will also embark on the “Threshold Through Time” tour across Europe in October 2024.
