Replaying Hendrix without plagiarizing, rewriting and reinventing legendary tracks without distorting them is the challenge that Thomas Naïm set for himself in 2020, the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of the most iconic of Guitar Heroes. With undisguised excitement and curiosity, he will confront his trio, with whom he has collaborated for years, with the master's compositions. The initial idea is not to cover the tracks as they are, as that would lack real artistic interest, but to find a more personal aesthetic for each piece, and with the exception of two or three sung tracks, to prioritize an instrumental approach. The result is a personal interpretation of selected and sometimes lesser-known pieces, along with a desire to revisit Jimi Hendrix's work in a new way.
