Aliens Ate My Buick is the third studio album by English new wave/synth-pop musician Thomas Dolby, released in 1988. True to himself, Dolby never played it safe, delivering his exuberant and direct third album Aliens Ate My Buick, which blends funk, jazz, zoot-suit swing, salsa, and reggae. In his autobiography The Speed Of Sound, Dolby described it as "a crazy postcard from a British expatriate on a debauched visit to Hollywood." The album reached number 30 on the UK Albums Chart. The album's first single, "Airhead," peaked at number 53. In the United States, the album reached number 70. In Canada, the album reached number 76.
