The Swiss trio The Young Gods was formed in 1985 by Franz Treichler. They wanted to go against the grain of conventional rock music with a radical aesthetic. They succeeded from the outset; their self-titled debut album was so successful that it was voted album of the year by Melody Maker. It wasn't until 1992, with their album *Tv Sky*, that the Swiss band finally achieved international breakthrough. One cannot help but notice The Young Gods' consistent innovation and mastery of the elements.
