So Much for the City, the debut album by the Irish indie band The Thrills, was released in May 2003. It spent 61 weeks in the top 75 of the album charts in Ireland and debuted at number 3 in the UK charts, where it remained for 25 weeks. The single Big Sur reached number 17 in the UK, which remains their highest position in that country to date. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2003 and won the Album of the Year award at the Irish National Music Awards. It was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, and the song Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far) was ranked by Q Magazine at number 550 on their list of the 1001 best songs ever made. This limited reissue is pressed on white vinyl.
