The music of The Telescopes has constantly pushed its own boundaries, straddling numerous genres while following its own course, guided by inspiration. Time has shown that The Telescopes' music not only withstands repeated listening but also reveals something new with each play. It has been described by the British music press as "more a revolution of the psyche than a revolution of the pavement"; a common thread in a body of highly influential work spanning over 30 years. They have been cited as an influence on many artists across genres worldwide. Of Tomorrow is The Telescopes' 15th album. The album was entirely created by Lawrie in his Shropshire studio, deviating from what the press often calls a "wall of pulsations" when describing the dense fusion of noise and sound synonymous with most of The Telescopes' releases. Of Tomorrow marks a complete shift in dynamics. Here, we have the poetry of movement, solid grooves at the forefront, leaving crystallized traces through an underlying floating current of rhythm and uplifting hooks.
