Dark matters

Description

The Stranglers, one of the most respected English Rock bands, returns with Dark Matters, their first studio album since 2012. Recorded over the last two years under the guidance of their loyal producer, Louie Nicastro, the creation of this new album was marked by the passing of their keyboardist and founding member, the brilliant Dave Greenfield, in May 2020. He is still present on the majority of the tracks of Dark Matters, with JJ Burnel and Baz Warne even adding "And if you should see Dave ...", a beautiful tribute to their late friend, and the first single from this album. "A year ago, on May 3, 2020, my great friend and colleague of 45 years, Dave Greenfield passed away, another victim of the pandemic," said JJ Burnel in a statement. "We had already recorded most of the album with him and during the lockdowns our only wish was to finish it to pay a vibrant tribute to his life and work." A record that he considers "one of the best albums" by the Stranglers.
