On November 22, 1981, in the middle of their colossal North American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago to play three nights at the Rosemont Horizon. Always influenced by Chicago blues, the band headed to Buddy Guy's Checkerboard Lounge to see the legendary bluesman play. It wasn't long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Ian Stewart joined him on stage, followed shortly after by Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz.
