Moodsville, Volume 1

Description

Enregistred in 1959 at Rudy Van Gelder's studio, Moodsville, Volume 1 inaugurates the Moodsville series launched by the Prestige label. The trio of Red Garland (Sam Jones, Art Taylor) is joined by tenor Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis on three tracks: bluesy and sensual ballads, deep and elegant groove. This reissue belongs to the new audiophile collection Moodsville Acoustic Sounds (Craft Recordings & Acoustic Sounds): analog mastering, 180g vinyl pressed by QRP, tip-on jacket.
