The Raveonettes is a Danish independent rock band from Copenhagen. They combine sweet melodies inspired by early 1960s American pop with distorted, feedback-saturated dark-sounding guitars.20 years ago, The Raveonettes made their debut with "Whip It On," the first part of a mini-album. The original CD version included an advertisement for the accompanying second album, "Chain Gang of Love," scheduled for later that same year.
The first mini-album featured 8 three-chord songs in B-flat minor, and the second was supposed to include 8 more songs in B major. That never happened. But it is happening now. On side 2 of the 20th anniversary vinyl edition of "Whip It On."
