The Other Side Of Devastation

Description

Constantly evolving and adapting his sound, Shackleton has released albums on labels such as Honest Jon's and Perlon, as well as on his own labels, Skull Disco (co-founded with Appleblim) and Woe to the Septic Heart! Shackleton now finds his place in a brand-new project on the Barcelona label Modern Obscure Music. The Purge of Tomorrow is an alias used by the artist to propose a new musical exploration. 'The Other Side of Devastation' is an inquiry into a new form of depth. Opposite the reductive label of "Ambient," these tracks were born from a live performance context. The aim was to create an immersive encounter where listeners are called to actively clear their minds of unnecessary thoughts. True to the trance elements that made Shackleton's reputation, this EP does not rely on traditional structures or linear storytelling.
