The Prettiots

Fun's cool

Description

The Prettiots are the latest signing to the Rough Trade label. Hailing from New York, the band is made up of Kay Kaspar Hauser (ukulele and vocals) and Lulu Prat (bass). They made a name for themselves thanks to the excellent Boys (That I Dated In Highschool) and have been the talk of the press across the Atlantic (New York Times, Nylon, Noisey). Fun's cool, the band’s first album, is a slice of life from young New Yorkers, evoking all the concerns of their age. The songs are often sweet, but with their funny and deceptively naive lyrics, they bring fresh blood to American pop.
