Boreas/Zephyrus consists of two EPs by the indie folk rock band The Oh Hellos. Both released in 2020, they conclude the band's self-produced Four Winds series. Boreas, the north wind, ushered in the harsh frosts of solitary winter. The arrangements of this third installment evoke images of snowy darkness, lit candles, and a vast night sky dotted with stars and auroras. Zephyrus, the last cardinal wind of this project, brought the gentle warmth of spring, ushering in a new year of growth rooted in the fertile ashes of all the structures that keep us isolated and numb – the kind of growth we can see within ourselves, if we can summon the courage to be vulnerable.
