The Mills Brothers were one of the most important and successful vocal groups in the history of popular music. Pioneers in bringing African American music to a wider global audience, they were the first African American artists to have their own radio show and had an immeasurable influence on the development of doo-wop and the many vocal groups that followed in their footsteps.
