Description

Drawing on the mythology of adventure films and novels or secret agent stories from the 40s to the 60s, the four members of the group find themselves immersed in outrageous adventures around the world, but more particularly in the Caribbean, and even into space. This spirit is reflected in their way of reinterpreting calypso, the popular music of the English-speaking Caribbean from the 50s and 60s, by adding all the influences of world music that the musicians of the group appreciate and promote through their label MaAuLa Records. Acoustic instruments blend with more electric, and sometimes psychedelic, arrangements.
