After three studio albums and more than ten years together, The Interrupters present their new album.
The 14-track record is a true story of survival and resilience, that of a band that dares to reject the easy impulses of repeating what has already worked. Together during lockdown, Aimee Interrupter, her partner and guitarist Kevin Bivona, and her younger twin brothers, Jesse (drums) and Justin (bass), decided to immerse themselves in work. After building a home studio in their garage, Kevin took charge of the production and, this time, became “the boss.” The record took shape in an unexpected and organic way, and the recording process was clearly fun, which is reflected in the album's sound, which glides through a spectrum of breathless punk rock, doo-wop, gospel, dancehall, and the band's usual influences. It follows their 2018 album, *Fight The Good Fight*, which spawned numerous hits, including "She's Kerosene," with over 50 million streams to date. This smash-hit sent the band to the top of the charts worldwide, playing live with everyone from Dropkick Murphys to Green Day.
