Description

"Horizon" produced by Vance Powell (Raconteurs, Jack White, Stapleton) is the 9th album (already) in 15 years from the Gascon farmers of The Inspector Cluzo. It is the electric successor to the highly acclaimed We the People of the Soil, which sold over 25,000 copies in self-production on their label F.the bass player Records. This 9th LP recorded in Nashville over 3 weeks will not deviate from the rule and will be released on their label. The two farmers from Landes worked on it for 3 years: their unplugged tour was sold out during "Brothers in Ideals" until February 2020, just before the lockdown. According to Powell, this album is their "most personal." Indeed, each song tells a lived story, often harsh, on the farm, addressing agro-industrial pressures or the battles they fight: climate change, environmental issues, greenwashing, or the preservation of endangered species or seeds, in a very Neil Young spirit, and musically close to Pearl Jam. Iggy Pop also lends a humorous hand on "Rockophobia." The summer of 2022 showed the anticipation for this album after a monumental performance on the main stage of Hellfest in front of 55,000 people and a full arena in Mont de Marsan (4,000 people) with a symphonic orchestra. Mont de Marsan, the place of their birth, from which they have never left and the cradle of the first European punk festivals in '76, '77, of which they are the legitimate local heirs.
