"The Hyènes need no introduction. Since their 2006 collaboration with Albert Dupontel to compose the soundtrack for the film ‘Enfermés dehors’, they have never settled down. - - The Hyènes are first and foremost three electric albums performed live during wild tours, they are also some unexpected projects, a comic-book concert that will visit over a hundred venues in France and Belgium, and will even be translated into Basque. - - For one evening, an extraordinary show titled ‘Khamsin’ will see The Hyènes meet ondes Martenot, two accordions, Gnawa percussion, and a dozen Berber singers, all performed to visuals specially created for the occasion. - - Yet the band doesn't forget its first loves, and ‘Verdure’ is released in October 2020 in a world where we live confined for a time, but this time... inside. - - Live performance supposedly not being an essential commodity, there won't be many concerts, but rather acts of resistance, whenever possible. - - No matter, if the five musicians of The Hyènes can't play plugged in or standing up, they will play acoustically and seated. What could have been a constraint turns out to be a real pleasure, even better, a new adventure, a way to revisit their own history. - - That's all it takes for these rascals to want to engrave this experience on vinyl, but of course, it has to be done on a stage, even if the audience cannot be present, and in the moment of a single take, to preserve the magic of the moment. - - The ‘unplugged’ sessions are thus recorded and filmed live on the Krakatoa stage, testifying to a unique moment during which the band reinvents its songs. - - ‘Krakatoa Unplugged Sessions’ features twelve tracks chosen from the band's discography and performed unvarnished.
