The Hot Sardines is the retro jazz group that everyone is talking about. Composed of about ten musicians (including a tap dancer), New Orleans and Jazz Manouche go hand in hand. The formula is similar to that which has worked so well for Pink Martini. Libération Produced by Eli Wolf (Norah Jones, Elvis Costello & The Roots, Al Green), this eponymous album mixes classics from the early history of jazz and original pieces composed by the group itself. The Hot Sardines represents a pivotal moment in the journey of this formation, which has already managed to share its passion for music from another era with a wide audience around the world.
