American neo-psychedelia godfathers The Flaming Lips are releasing their new album, American Head. It features thirteen cinematic tracks, produced by their long-time collaborator Dave Fridmann and the band members themselves. The album boasts some great collaborations: on 'God and the Policeman' in particular, we find country superstar Kacey Musgraves. As evidenced by the album's first single 'Flowers Of Neptune 6', American Head takes a turn that harks back to the golden age of their discography, especially their 1999 masterpiece The Soft Bulletin.
