The Cramps is an American music group formed in 1975 in Sacramento, California, dissolved after the death of singer Lux Interior on February 4, 2009. Throughout their long career, although they were classified in different categories by their fans and by music journalists according to trends, its members define themselves as a rock 'n' roll band. The term psychobilly with which they are generally associated more specifically refers to an English scene, influenced by them, but whose main instigators remain truly the Meteors. The Cramps are indeed part of an American rock 'n' roll tradition, unique in the fusion they make of three genres that are nevertheless quite distinct: rockabilly, garage punk and psychedelia, all three also stemming from American counterculture. This is their 7th album, recorded in 1997 for the EPITAPH label.
