Our saviours Danalogue The Conqueror, Betamax Killer (Soccer96) and King Shabaka (Sons Of Kemet, The Ancestors) gave us their first album "Channel The Spirits" on April 1, 2016, soon to be in the running for the Mercury Prize. In simpler times, it was a prophetic document. A celebration. The beginning of the end. Revealed at the Trans Musicales in Rennes, the English trio The Comet Is Coming continues its cosmic adventure in the footsteps of Sun Ra, Frank Zappa, or Hendrix. Its leader is a hyperactive member of the new British jazz scene, saxophonist and clarinettist Shabaka Hutchings (aka King Shabaka) who performs with bands such as Sons of Kemet, Melt Yourself Down, the Heliocentrics, Anthony Joseph, or even the Sun Ra Arkestra. For his global fusion project, King Shabaka invited two other mad magicians, drummer Maxwell Hallett (Betamax Killer) and keyboardist Dan Leavers (Danalogue The Conqueror).
