At the helm of this truly unique project are two brothers, Raphaël and Théo Herrerias, who grew up in the working-class district of Terrenoire in the suburbs of Saint-Étienne. A duo who never envisioned a life outside of music. However, due to their age difference, their collaboration truly took off when the younger brother joined the elder in Paris in 2017. The artistic encounter of these two temperaments gave birth to these sensitive and extraordinary songs. While initially, the roles were clearly defined between the two young men – Raphaël handled the lyrics, the skeletal melodies, and the vocals, while Théo enriched the compositions – the boundaries became more fluid during the creation of this fascinating album, Les Forces Contraires.
