"I am happy to present my new album, recorded mostly in Cape Verde with the help of local musicians, including Hernani Almeida, who produced it. This return to my roots brought me many emotions; I walked in the footsteps of my childhood, of the first melodies that came to me when, as a child, I marveled at the spectacle of the Bay of Mindelo on the island of Sao Vicente. I wanted to convey that emotion in these melancholic, nostalgic, and festive songs that celebrate life. In the track 'Emocionalmente,' which gave the album its name, a line says 'Emotionally connected to you forever' — that is my state of mind toward the entire team that made this album possible, and toward those who will listen to it. - Teofilo Chantre"
