10 vignettes on the female condition today, where no subject is avoided, love, death, politics, the very nature of existence, all joyfully set to music, with warmth and humour. Feminist icon and indie rock legend, Amelia Fletcher (Talulah Gosh/Heavenly) leads a band consisting of Emily Bennett (Betty and the Werewolves) who replaces Elizabeth Morris (Allo Darlin), Katrina Dixon on drums, John Stanley on guitar and Heavenly's original bassist, Robert Pursey. A very vocal album (3 female singers) and full of harmonies inspired by early girl groups (one of the songs is about a woman trapped in a Shangri-Las song!) Recorded at Bark Studios with producer Brian O'Shaughnessy (Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, Saint Etienne), the album is available with green, purple or white sleeves (suffragette colours).
