Recorded in the studio built in the premises of Kompakt Records in Berlin with Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, M83, The Rapture), Hit The Light is a well-crafted - and successful - album that skillfully combines genres. It draws from both contemporary electronic music and a vibrant mix of Americana, Manchester baggy, and melancholic vocals, the band's signature sound. Titled Hit The Light in reference to the theme it addresses, this album traces a journey, from shadow to light, of an act of renewal. Hit The Light is like a grand road trip alongside Ben and Leo, the two musicians sharing the wheel, just as they shared the compositions of the album. It is the result of four long years of work, which began with sessions in the London underground, then reflections in a room in Birmingham, before culminating in a recording in Berlin. The depth of Ben and Leo's relationship, creative and intimate, allowed them to get there. It is no coincidence that "Ten Fé" means "to have hope."
