On her new album, Delusion, Tempers (the musical alias of New York-based artist Jasmine Golestaneh) embarks on a non-linear journey of healing and growth. Across ten tracks, she explores emotional turbulence, navigating a fever dream of storms and clearings towards an inner clarity, creating a soundtrack for "those who love too much, fall in love too hard, and dream too intensely." Delusion fluidly navigates genres, from art pop to techno, grunge to metal accents, punctuating the album with epic ballads. Co-produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht (Sky Ferreira, Crushed, Wild Nothing), the album features collaborations with visual artists Camille Henrot, Estelle Hoy, and Sandra Mujinga and will be released on April 24, 2026, on Golestaneh's new label, fear of luxury, distributed by Cascine/Secretly. Tempers follows Services (2015), which included the underground hit “Strange Harvest.” In 2019, Tempers released the more introspective album Private Life, followed by New Meaning in 2022, accompanied by a book of original collages by Golestaneh, inspired by the album. Tempers' interest in the art world has led to unique collaborations, including performances in museums, galleries, and alternative spaces, an EP (Fundamental Fantasy, 2017) born from an artist residency at The Vinyl Factory, and the 2018 release of Junkspace with Rem Koolhaas. A tour is planned for May, with stops in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, and Istanbul. Festival shows will lead to an extensive international headlining tour beginning in September 2026, covering other key markets such as Mexico and major cities in the US and Canada, as well as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich.
